Education, Experience, and Affiliations
Dr. Diamond has been practicing gynecology in New York City for over twenty-five years. Upon graduating from college, she obtained a Master’s Degree in Social Work and went on to graduate from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai Hospital in 1983 at which time she began her private practice and simultaneously finished a post-graduate training program in sex therapy. She is board certified and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG). Her board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is life long, nonetheless, she voluntarily prepares for and takes the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) re-certification examination on a yearly basis and attends medical conferences to remain at the forefront of developments in her field. Dr. Diamond is also certified in the MonaLisa Touch Laser System.
Dr. Diamond has retained her affiliation with Mount Sinai Medical School and Hospital where she has taught medical students and residents and holds the rank of Assistant Clinical Professor. Currently, her practice is exclusively gynecologic; there are no long waits due to unexpected deliveries or obstetrical emergencies. She is committed to providing the best in gynecologic care for all women from teenagers to the elderly.

Special Attributes and Interests
Dr. Diamond believes that her early career in psychiatric social work gives her a special understanding of the impact of gynecologic issues on women’s lives. Whether it’s a young woman anxious about an abnormal Pap Smear, a woman of any age receiving the diagnosis of breast cancer or another serious illness, or a woman having difficulty with the normal issues of menopause, she needs and deserves a physician who understands and supports her. Dr. Diamond's training and experience in sex therapy have also enabled her to assist patients, some who have been abused, in overcoming their fears about the gynecologic exam, as well as to help many women in overcoming various difficulties in attaining satisfaction in their sexual relations. The recent addition of MonaLisa Touch laser therapy for treatment of pain with intercourse as well certain urinary issues associated with menopause allows for the total evaluation and care of some of the intimate issues facing women as they age.
Dr. Diamond prides herself on being especially available and attentive to her patients who are going through difficult or complicated medical situations. Her years of experience and numerous contacts throughout the medical community are invaluable, enabling her to compassionately and effectively guide patients through the medical maze that may ensue.
